Download iAUDIO U5 Firmware

* The battery must be fully charged before upgrading firmware. 
* Do not turn the power off during upgrading.
* Backup any important files to your computer before upgrade.
* You must upgrade the supplied firmware from COWON. 
* The version information on the images below may be different from the actual one.

If your previous firmware is V1.XX, please follow the below steps.

Please back up your data because you have to format your device. Download the firmware to your PC and unzip it. You will get U5.bin and U5_font.bin files.       U5_3.16.zip

Connect iAUDIO U5 to the PC by using an USB cable. If iAUDIO U5 is recognized as a removable disk, please paste a U5.bin file to the root folder (top folder in iAUDIO U5) in iAUDIO U5.                   After copy is finished, please disconnect iAUDIO U5 form the PC and turn on the unit. iAUDIO U5 will automatically start firmware upgrade. After it is completed, it powers off.                  Connect iAUDIO U5 to the PC by using an USB cable again. Format the device with FAT 32 in Windows Explorer.                 After formatting, please paste a U5_font.bin file to the root folder (top folder in iAUDIO U5) in iAUDIO U5. After copy is finished, please disconnect iAUDIO U5 form the PC and turn on the unit. iAUDIO U5 will automatically start firmware upgrade. After it is completed, it powers off.
