Step 1

Unzip the latest firmware. Right click and copy the U3_FW_1.20 folder to your desktop.

Step 2

Plug the USB cable into the USB port of the iAudio U3.

Step 3

Double click the U3_fwup.exe file to start the U3 firmware program.

Step 4

If connected properly the program will detect the U3 player and will produce a Firmware Download window. Click start to initiate the program.

Step 5

After the program has finished loading the update will complete with the following message, from here you can click "OK" and disconnect the player for testing.

Once you power on the unit it the firmware program will begin to load all neccessary software, please be patient as it may take some time to process. After the firmware upgrade is complete the unit will automatically shut off. Please turn on once more, you should notice the boot up screen display the version you have chose to upgrade to.
